What are liquid cultures?
Liquid cultures are a nutrient solution containing live mycelium. They allow for fast, even colonization when injected into sterilized grain, helping reduce colonization time.
What grains do you offer and how are they prepared?
We offer sterilized grain grow bags prepared in small batches. Each bag is hydrated to optimal moisture levels, sterilized using proven methods, and sealed with a self-healing injection port for clean inoculation.
What size grain bags should I use?
1 lb bags are great for testing cultures or small grows. 3 lb bags are ideal for bulk substrate transfers and larger fruiting projects. Both sizes work well with liquid culture.
Do I need to sterilize grains again before use?
No. Our grain bags are fully sterilized and ready to use upon arrival. Re-sterilizing can damage the bag or compromise sterility.
What’s the difference between sterilization and pasteurization?
Sterilization eliminates all competing organisms and is required for grains. Pasteurization reduces harmful competitors and is typically used for bulk substrates like coir or straw. We provide education on when and why to use each method.
Can beginners use your products?
Absolutely. Our products are beginner-friendly, and education is a core part of what we do. We focus on helping you understand the process, not just follow steps.

How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 2–4 business days. Transit times vary based on your location and carrier. There is a USPS shipping calculator at the checkout page as well.
Do you ship liquid cultures year-round?
Yes. We ship with care, but weather delays are outside our control.
Where do you ship?
We currently only ship within the United States.
What if my order arrives damaged or contaminated?
If there’s an issue with your order upon arrival, contact us promptly with photos. We’ll work with you to make it right.
